~*MY FAMILY*~

Hey there...my name is Azurayah.  I'm a 33 year old mama with 2 beautiful children.   My daughter Marin is 11 and my son Zion is almost 8.  I grew up in Minnesota and moved to Arizona in 1993.  I'm currently living in Tempe and back in school.  I just completed the mind body transformational psychology program at the Southwest Institute of the Healing Arts and am current working on my yoga teacher training.

Marin is busy enjoying school.  She just started 5th grade and can't wait until next year so she can start middle school.  She is back in gymnastics after breaking her leg this spring in a bad landing off the bars.  Zion is in 2nd grade and doing really well.  He's really wanting to learn the guitar and is anxiously awaiting lessons.  He is also about to start soccer again and looking forward to it.  I'm so proud of them both!  I'm the luckiest mama in the world:)  

We love to go to shows.  We usually travel during the summer and vend my goods at music festivals.  We also enjoy hiking, camping and getting together with family for potlucks and drum circles.

  As for my love of stitching...I've been sewing heavily for the last 13 years, however, my grandmother originally taught me as a child.  I didn't get really serious about it until I was on Dead tour.  That is when I realized the creative possibilities.  Sewing is a very spiritual thing for me.  I am able to envision something in my head and then bring it into this reality.  I'm usually listening to Jerry, Panic or another musical artist that inspires me and everything seems to flow the way it needs to.  I put alot of love into everything I create.  I think my favorite part is sharing my creations with all of you.  When someone tells me how good they feel in something I've created....well that's why I do what I do.
